Welcome to the HeartvsLogic Project. A project that pioneered at Virginia Tech

Photography was a way to express ourselves, destress from the challenges of a demanding engineering program, and connect with new friends. It taught us how to bring ideas from our minds to life. We experienced the joy people felt from our work and realized our ability to capture meaningful moments in their lives. Through it, we came to understand the value of memories and the importance of thoughtfully preserving them.

Doing photography for almost a decade gave us the chance to develop our own taste and style. It taught us what matters most to people, how to earn their trust, and how to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera. We learned to dig deeper, understanding why people want photos in the first place and to capture them in a way that stays true to their story. It’s a skill that took years and over 400 sessions to truly understand.
